The Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii is just a few kilometers from our parish and our homes, a familiar place for all of us. For this reason, we probably don’t realize how widespread devotion to this sanctuary is around the world. The sanctuary was founded thanks to the work and faith of saint Bartolo Longo.
In our church too there is a painting of the Virgin of the Rosary. It was an ancient work created by the Salerno painter Giuseppe Avallone in the early 20th century. The painting, previously placed to the left of the altar of Saint Blaise, is now in the Chapel of Saint Trofimena.
