Totus Tuus

This Latin expression, meaning “completely yours,” immediately brings to mind Saint John Paul II, who adopted it as his apostolic motto to express his total devotion to the Virgin Mary.
Our church, too, is “completely Mary’s”; in fact, everything speaks of her, starting, of course, with its dedication to her under the title of “Annunziata.”
Today, we turn our attention to the four paintings beneath the dome, painted in the 1960s, as they depict key moments in her life:
-Mary visiting Saint Elizabeth after the Annunciation
-Mary assumed into heaven
-Mary presented at the temple
-Mary desolate, comforted by an angel beneath the cross after Jesus’s deposition.
